7.3 For UAE-based Users, the Academy shall endeavour to comply with the applicable data protection requirements under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“UAE PDPL”) and the relevant regulations and guidelines issued thereunder.

8. DATA RETENTION

8.1 We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by Applicable Laws.

8.2 In general, personal data submitted through enquiry forms shall be retained for a period not exceeding three (3) years from the date of last interaction, after which it shall be securely deleted or anonymised.

8.3 Where an engagement is entered into, relevant personal data may be retained for such period as is necessary to comply with legal, tax, and contractual obligations.

9. DATA SECURITY

9.1 The Academy implements reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, in accordance with the requirements of the SPDI Rules and the DPDP Act, 2023.

9.2 Notwithstanding the foregoing, no data transmission over the internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. The Academy shall not be liable for any unauthorised access or security breach beyond its reasonable control.

9.3 In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to adversely affect Your rights or interests, We shall notify the Data Protection Board of India (upon its establishment) as required by the DPDP Act, and shall take reasonable steps to inform affected individuals in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

10. RIGHTS OF DATA PRINCIPALS

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, You, as a Data Principal, have the following rights in respect of Your personal data:

  • Right to Access: To obtain information about the personal data held by Us and the purposes for which it is being processed.
  • Right to Correction and Erasure: To request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, and to request erasure of data that is no longer necessary or where consent has been withdrawn.
  • Right to Grievance Redressal: To seek redressal of any grievance relating to processing of Your personal data.
  • Right to Nominate: To nominate an individual to exercise Your rights in the event of Your death or incapacity.
